College Admissions Development Program Info
The Princeton College Consulting and Nassau Tennis Club College Admissions Development Program is the region’s premier integrated academic and athletic college admissions program designed specifically for tennis players of all levels. Participation in the program helps students get admitted to their top choice schools at the lowest possible cost by maximizing financial aid, merit and/or athletic scholarship opportunities.
The program is a fully integrated process consisting of 6 separate modules that can be tailored to your specific needs and budget.
Strategic Plan (SP)
The Strategic Plan is the launching point in your college admissions process. Whether you are a freshman, sophomore, Junior or Senior, with the SP we will establish the necessary baselines both academically and athletically in order to provide you with concrete feedback on where you are, where you need to be in order to gain admission to your top choice schools and specific recommendations on what steps you need to take to get there.
Education Plan (EP)
For each year that your student is enrolled in the Princeton College Consulting / Nassau Tennis Club College Admissions Development Program, we will provide you with a personalized academic assessment, along with an understanding of any gaps and recommended actions required to close them. Additionally, based on your stated profile we will provide specific recommendations for high school courses, extracurricular and summer enrichment activities. Also, in preparation for SAT’s/ACT’s/SAT II’s, we will provide high level test guidance.
College Plan (CP)
Your student will receive personalized, one-on-one, counseling on all aspects of the college admissions process. With your student, we will: identify and narrow list of target colleges, provide essay guidance and support, assist with resume and activity sheet development, conduct mock interviews as preparation for college interviews, support letters of recommendation, provide specific school by school strategy & tactics for college visits, thoroughly review your application before submission, help with post-acceptance school selection and resume forecasting.
Athletic Plan (AP)
We will work with your student athlete to identify the strengths and weaknesses across a number of different dimensions of their game including, overall fitness, agility, understanding of singles and doubles strategy, ground strokes, volleys, serves, overheads, basic tool chest skills, etc….
Together with Nassau Tennis professionals we will construct a comprehensive development plan designed to maximize your student athlete’s abilities. We will conduct periodic assessments and provide ongoing feedback on progress and areas for additional development. We will also meet periodically to discuss on the court strategy & tactics. Additionally, we will map out tournament plans and once you hit your junior year we will develop a matched list of target schools that meet both your academic and tennis objectives and then shepherd your student fully through the college recruitment process.
Financial Plan (FP)
At Princeton College Consulting we focus on helping your student get into their top choice schools at the lowest possible cost and in doing so will help you successfully navigate the entire financial aid process. First, we will help you establish your EFC baseline. We will also present you with strategies for lowering your EFC. We will provide a view of the college funding landscape in general, provide you with a report of targeted merit scholarship opportunities, guide any scholarship essay development and can either support you through all FAFSA and CSS filings or handle their preparation for you.
Transition Plan (TP)
Once you have decided which college offer of admission to accept, we want to help your student get off to a running start. We will produce a package of information tailored to your chosen school which includes a success checklist, strategies for success and a list of “Useful things to know”.
